Gold Coast

World famous for its sun, surf and sand, the City of Gold Coast lies at the South East border of Queensland, Australia and stretches along 57 kilometres of pristine coastline.

The city’s spectacular coastal setting means heading to the beach is high on the list of things to do. Broadbeach, Surfer’s Paradise and Main Beach are the best known in the region and offer a myriad of activities for everyone; hire a surfboard and hit the waves, swim in the shallow warm waters, enjoy a game of Frisbee or beach volleyball along the shoreline or simply lie down and bask under the warm Australian sun.

As the beaches roll into the city, you’ll find a bustling city centre with a modern skyline, quirky shops and designer stores, a variety of restaurants and fine dining, and a buzzing nightlife scene. The Gold Coast is also renowned for its collection of theme parks; Dream World, Wet ‘n’ Wild, Sea World and Warner Brother’s Movie World are definitely all worth a visit.

Beyond the city fringe, there are the magnificent National Parks of Springbrook, Lamington and Tamborine which feature World Heritage protected sub-tropical rainforests and spectacular lookouts that gaze out across the hinterland, the city and out to the expanse of the ocean.

Whatever you are into you’ll find yourself easily filling your days and nights with fun-filled times.
